 The e-IC was proud to sponsor the ‘Shropshire Young Entrepreneur Award' at the inaugural ‘Pride of Shropshire Awards 2008', an event created by the Shropshire Star and The Shropshire Partnership to give unsung heroes the recognition they deserve.
The finalists for this award were :
- Writer & film producer Estaban Bridges, Hollinswood, Telford.
- Promotions company director Kathryn Holloway, Promofix Ltd, Stafford Park, Telford.
- Web developer Kirt Rainford, Prees Green, nr Whitchurch.
The winner was Kathryn Holloway of Promofix Ltd.

Tenants at the e-Innovation Centre (e-IC) in Telford took advantage of a series of legal clinics providing crucial advice for small businesses in their early stages.
Volunteer students from the Legal Practice Course at the University of Wolverhampton offered one hour consultations without charge to help answer a range of business and commercial law queries.

e-IC to judge Shropshire Star Idea |

Ten Shropshire inventors are one step closer to winning a potentially life-changing £5,000 prize after reaching the semi finals of a Dragons Den-style competition.
Star Idea was launched by the Shropshire Star to recognise entrepreneurs who have developed a recipe for commercial success, but needs cash and expert support to make it happen.
