The e-Innovation Centre has scooped two awards at this year's coveted West Midlands ICT Excellence Awards 2007.
The initiative, which was officially opened at an event in October 2007 to celebrate its success, was named winner of the ICT Excellence in Creative Partnerships category and in the night's only double individual category win, it was also successful as winner of the ICT Excellence in Public Sector ICT Projects category.
Diana Thompson, Business Director of the e-Innovation Centre, said: "We are ecstatic about this double award and it is fantastic for the e-Innovation Centre team who have managed to fill the Centre in less than 18 months. The benefits of this award will be the recognition for both for the e-Innovation Centre itself and for our tenants who are all 'new’ companies. Our consultants will also benefit from the increased recognition from their peers in the IT industry." The ICT Excellence Awards were presented at the Annual West Midlands ICT Cluster Conference held at Birmingham's National Motorcycle Museum on Thursday, 22 November 2007.
