Priorslee Company Awarded Funding From Creative England’s First National Business Investment Awards
January 17, 2013: A Priorslee company has been awarded funding from Creative England’s first national business investment Digital Champions awards.
Bronze Labs, based in the e-innovation Centre, is among 13 small creative and digital businesses across England to benefit from the Creative England award for developing ground-breaking cross-platform digital media content and services.
The £1m Regional Growth Fund funding is in the form of interest free loans matched by company funds that will allow Bronze Labs to develop new content and applications.
Bronze Labs aim to produce an augmented reality software programme which can be used to help building management companies identify problems and easily identify where building facilities are.
Creative England’s Director of Business Development, Jim Farmery, said: “Creative England’s core mission is to unlock potential for small businesses in the creative industries, and help them seize the massive opportunities presented by the digital revolution. Attracting over 100 applications from such a broad spectrum of digital media shows the strength of the sector and its desire to create innovative solutions. The launch of this programme has stimulated the development of some really interesting content and applications that otherwise would have struggled to get off the ground and helped to create or safeguard 144 jobs in some great English creative businesses.”
