Welcome to Build Fifty5 Living Ltd

We would like to extend a warm welcome to new tenants at e-Innovation Centre….. find out more about Build Fifty5 Living Ltd

The business consists of a small team of construction professionals offering Project Management and Construction Development services to clients across the UK and Europe.  Buildfifty5 are often site based.

Build Fifty5 provides a comprehensive range of services through experience and expertise in the construction industry which includes residential, commercial, mixed-use, industrial, leisure and speculative strategic developments.  As Development Managers, Build Fifty5 challenge designers and contractors to maximise potential using fresh ideas and innovative thinking.

The current workload includes residential schemes in Birmingham, Smethwick and Nottingham, and student accommodation in Coventry and Cardiff.  We are also delivering industrial schemes in Avonmouth, Evesham and Gloucester.

Build Fifty5 Living was established in 2019.  Through our wider network of clients and relationships over recent years we recognised an increase in demand from Housing Associations and residential developers for schemes ranging in size from 20 to 100 units and set out to act as both Developer and Development Managers.

Our schemes utilise both brownfield and greenfield settings across the west midlands to improve the built environment through innovate design solutions and to enhance the local areas.  Our aim is to support the local authorities and organisations to help meet the housing need.  For example our current workload  and enquiries include:

  • Our Smethwick scheme utilises land from a previously demolished Public House to deliver 24 affordable units for Citizen housing Association.
  • Our Tile Cross and Coventry Schemes comprises a derelict / disused Convent, Church Hall and Bungalow on which we intend to deliver 100 Move on Accommodation units for the YMCA Heart of England.
  • We are in discussions with a council to deliver two sites in Shropshire with over 100 units for affordable rent on behalf of an institutional investor.
  • An affordable retirement facility in Telford
  • Community led Retirement Living for persons of affordable means in Wolverhampton.

AP Architecture Scoop Award

AP Architecture, tenants of EIC, have recently won a prestigious accolade at the Pinders Healthcare Design Awards. The event, now in its 20th year, aims to recognise outstanding design in the care sector. In a ceremony at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London, where over 600 people were in attendance, AP took home one of the six gongs.

Company Director Paul Burton said: “AP Architecture are delighted to be winners of the Pinders Heathcare Design Awards 2019, Best New Care Home Elderly (Lower), with Willowbrook Care Home, Perry Barr, which was designed to be a centre of excellence in the treatment and care of older residents with dementia and mental health disorders.”

“It was a pleasure working alongside Mr Paul Willis of Willowbrook Care, who had great expectations for the home, and was committed to developing an aspirational place to live and work, which has also been recognised by CQC, with them rating the home as Outstanding.”

“AP Architecture have previously had two other projects as finalists in these awards, and this is the icing on the cake for the practice and the team behind such an outstanding project.”

Congratulations to AP Architecture from everyone at EIC for this amazing achievement!

Land Referencing Services Celebrate 10 Years

Land Referencing Services, who started at the e-innovation Centre with just two people and now have a team of over 45, are now celebrating ten years of the company.

They have gone from strength to strength in that time and can now say that they are the largest, dedicated land referencing specialists in the UK. They are also still housed at the Telford Campus, in EIC’s sister building, the Business and Technology Centre.

Directors Parma Kataria and Martin Glover said of the milestone: “We started LRS with the aim to always deliver the highest standards and we are happy to still be achieving this, 10 years on.

While the years have gone by quickly and we have loved every minute, there are even more exciting times ahead as more expansion and new challenges appear. We are really lucky to have great staff, great customers and be working on the UK’s premier projects including Rail, Nuclear Highways, Power, Ports, Regeneration, Airports and communications. This year we have gone through a particularly high level of expansion and it’s great to see the business flourishing”
