Director of e-IC company applies management skills for United Nations

Dr Gavin Jordan, the Director of Interface-NRM Ltd, a company specialising in quality and environmental management certification, is based at the E-Innovation centre on the Telford campus.

He has taken a secondment from Interface for 6 months, working for the United Nations as their Principal Programme Management Officer for Sustainable Supply Chain Management, based at the United Nations Global Service Centre in Italy.
The role involves developing an approach and methodology to assess, improve and add value to global peace keeping operations, through improvements to supply chains and associated data.

Gavin has said that this is a great opportunity to apply a management systems and data led approach to one of the most demanding supply chain situations globally! The work he is conducting focuses on Mali, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and South Sudan.
