Round Software Take On KEEN Graduate

Tenants at the Business and Technology Centre and formally EIC, Round Software, have recently taken on a University of Wolverhampton graduate via the Knowledge Exchange & Enterprise Network (KEEN). This is a graduate recruitment programme designed to give bright and talented graduates a platform to launch their careers, while gaining valuable business skills.

The software development firm have been located on the Telford campus for seven years and started with only one person. They have grown steadily in the intervening years and have now reached a level where they can offer this fantastic opportunity to graduate Eishpal Mattu.

Owner and founder of Round Software, Joe Hormenoo said: “We are always looking for talented people that can offer us fresh ideas and bring something new to the company. We are really pleased to have taken on Eishpal, and the academic support that has come with collaborating with the University and KEEN is a real bonus.”

Eishpal said: “I have been supported all the way through and provided with opportunities to improve my skills and knowledge. I have gained a better understanding of system analysis which in turn has helped me become a better software developer. Keen and Round Software have given me an opportunity that has changed my life for the better and given me a career path that will present many opportunities now and in the future.”

HowToMoodle Awarded Cyber Security Accolade

HowToMoodle have announced that they have achieved a ‘Cyber Essentials Plus’ certification.

The eIC company are UK Moodle and Totara Learn learning management system experts, providing specialist services to help organisations of all sizes and across a variety of sectors. The Cyber Essentials scheme, backed by the National Cyber Security Centre, addresses the most common Internet-based threats to cyber security, which include hacking, phishing and password guessing.

HowToMoodle also have an ongoing commitment to ensuring the best possible security processes are in place, including regular security testing of all services.

This Cyber Essentials Plus certification has ensured that HowToMoodle protects the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data stored on any devices that connect to the Internet.

HowToMoodle’s Infrastructure Manager, Paul Flanders commented on what this will do for their clients: “This is great news for us and our clients. In addition to the ISO 27001 data centres we use for client hosting, Cyber Essentials Plus certification of our operations network demonstrates that we’re serious about information security across all aspects of our business. We’re delighted that our strict security procedures have been acknowledged with the Cyber Essentials Plus certification.”
