Hi-tech New Pod at EIC

There has been great new addition to the modern and stylish furniture at EIC. Provided by Space Oasis, the new seating pod on the lower floor has given the informal meeting space another high-tech dimension.

The pod comes equipped with features including a 21-inch display screen – connectable to a laptop, as well as three-pin and USB power points and also walls and a table that act as a whiteboard!

Centre Manager Zoe Slattery said: “As part of the ongoing effort to improve the meeting and breakout areas around EIC, we are very pleased to have this new pod installed and it offers yet more innovative space in which our tenants can enjoy working.”

EIC’s Water Cooler Moment!

In the continual effort to improve the tenant experience and in response to both a tenant survey and also requests during a hot period of weather, a new water cooler has been installed at the e-Innovation Centre (located on ground floor, level 0).

The water cooler is free for tenants to use 24/7, and in a bid to prevent waste, will require a user’s own cup or bottle.

On tasting the water from the cooler, EIC staff member Tony (pictured) said: “Now that’s some mighty fine tasting H2O!”

*Tenant notice – please do not use the water cooler to fill up kettles.

Centre Coordinator Receives Long Service Award

Congratulations to Lorraine, EIC Centre Coordinator, who has received a long service award from the University of Wolverhampton. Here’s to many more years!

EIC Security Barriers Installed

In the ongoing effort to improve the tenant experience at the e-innovation centre, interior security barriers have been installed. The new feature will mean an extra layer of security for businesses as well as an improved electronic sign-in system using ID cards which have been assigned to tenants.

This is a significant and much needed improvement on the previous paper sign-in system that should promote safety and make for a speedier and more efficient process.

Centre Manager Lynsey Whitfield said: “We have been planning to improve sign-in procedures for some time, and the new barrier is an essential evolution of the building’s function. eIC is a modern working environment and the new system definitely reflects this.”
